Welcome to GIMG.tv!

Those of you who know me know that starting a network doesn’t really seem like something I would do.  But I’ve been in business for several decades, and travel and talk to so many great people doing so many great things, – folks have always told me I should try to write or record some of this. So I’ve decided to do that and so much more with the launch of Global Investigator Media Group aka GIMG.tv

So what can you expect from GIMG.tv? 

Always expect honest unbiased views from me and this channel. From simple tips to stories about simplification and doing more with less, the process and the results will be part of this sites content. You can expect multiple posts a month on the following topics:

Legislative News – We will look at legislative news from around the country and into individual state capitals on what legislation may effect investigators at the local level. Additionally, since the internet has no boundaries we will even carry on discussions with investigators in other parts of the world.

Business – Many people who enter the investigative field quite often have experience in conducting investigations.  However, many new investigators and agency owners are ill prepared for running a business.  As the founder and partner in five business units, up until 2012, a large part of my time was consumed by both running the businesses as well as working in them. At that point I decided to sell my shares and take semi retirement. Today, after a two-year hiatus I am now in the process of starting this site  and a small niche investigation business. I want to share what is working for me, and learn what is working for you.

Equipment – Nothing is more frustrating then laying out your hard earned cash on a piece of equipment that is suppose to be the end all be all only to find out it is garbage or you needed a PhD from MIT to get it to work correctly.  With our product reviews we will tell you the good the bad and the ugly.

Services – We all need services in our business, whether it is from a lawyer, accountant, insurance agent etc. We will discuss with industry professionals, and experienced agency owners, what we need and how to get it at a fair price.

Connections – Between work exhaustion, texting and other modern day technology, we aren’t making genuine connections anymore. I want to see what we can do about that.  If you just came in contact with GIMG.tv I want to help you contact with other professionals at whatever level you aspire to.  Do you want to grow your local, state, regional, national or international foot print?

Grow – Regardless of if you are a business owner or an individual investigator, every business can be cutthroat and emotionally charged, but when it comes right down to it, if you can find a way to be nice and ethical, then you will sign bigger deals, gain more loyalty and increase your chances of success. Of course, there is more to it than just being nice, but do at least that and you will immediately begin to out-behave your competition.

As you read through these topics, you might find that you have already mastered some of them. Maybe you have them all pegged already, then I ask you to join me and share your knowledge as so many friends and colleagues have pledged to you here.  Also stay tuned for a post, audio you can listen to on the go and/or tune in to see what we do next.

You can expect to be inspired, educated and entertained, but also expect to be challenged with tough questions that face our profession.  Expect to participate, when you are ready, with your questions, feedback and recommendations. This blog/podcast or micro broadcast really is for you so I hope you will tell me what you want or need moving forward.
