Arson Investigator Richard Harris

Rory interviews Richard Harris this month on Investigator Hotline.  Mr. Harris served in the Public Safety field for over 17 years. He worked in several areas of the police and fire service including Chief of Department. He has been in the Private Investigation field, both in a part time and full time status, for over 16 years. He has conducted training, and provided consulting services, for police and fire departments for over 20 years. In addition, he has trained and consulted for private detectives and security officers for more than 16 years. He has authored: “Marketing Checklist for the Private Detective and Security Agency,” “Red Flags of the Fire Fraud,” and “Expert Testimony and the changing Case Laws,” as well as many other programs related to the fire, police, private detective and security areas.
He has a Master of Fire Science Certificate, BS in Fire Safety Management as well as thousands of hours of other related training certificates. He has served on many national and state committees in the areas of Investigation and has taught at colleges and universities throughout the United States on topics relating to fire, police, private investigation and security. He lectures Internationally on a variety of topics and is an expert witness in various areas for criminal and civil court cases. He is a Licensed Private Investigator in Michigan and Florida, a Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (CFEI), Certified Fire Investigator Instructor (CFII), Certified Fraud Consultant (CFC) and a Florida Certified Investigator (FCI). He currently conducts investigations throughout the United States and the Caribbean in cases related to Insurance fraud, fire, burglary, theft, workers compensation and surveillance investigations. He has investigated more than 5,000 fire related cases involving large and small losses.
